Agile Delivery Lead (outsourcing project)

As a Delivery Lead at this project, you will set the team up for success, support them in problem-solving and enable them to come up with the best insights and products within constraints. But that doesn’t mean delivery management sits ‘outside’ the team. You will work closely with the team, deep in the detail of the work. You will be an expert practitioner, at the top of your game, and able to demonstrate clear leadership. This project is java-based applications dealing with foreign government applications. You would be working in a multicultural environment and your everyday communication would be conducted in English. Most likely the working hours are from 10:00 AM till 18:00 so if you are not a morning person this role would be perfect for you!

On a daily basis your hands will be full with:

  • In discussion and agreement with the team, implement the agreed delivery approach and take responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered successfully
  • Evolve and codify our Delivery practice, learning and iterating frequently, and coaching others to do so – and document findings, tools, and approaches
  • Lead the team to accurately scope, estimate, and define effort for complex projects, to create proposals and Statements of Work
  • Be visible to your teams and our clients, and regularly undertake activities to engage and build trust with the team, the client, and the stakeholders
  • Develop an understanding of the technical domain to be able to recognize the technical risks arising from the development process

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of work experience in software house environment (IT), and 2 years in a lead role, example: Technical Team Lead, Tech Lead, Delivery Lead
  • Experienced Agile practitioner (at least 3 years)
  • Strong technical background – able to follow high-level technical processes
  • Expertise in estimating, scoping, and delivering large scale digital projects and products, using a variety of techniques
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and requests
  • High levels of organization and crucially the ability to handle multiple priorities in parallel
  • Experience in writing Statements of Work, project approaches, and proposals
  • Experience in dependency and risk management
  • Drive to get things done, takes ownership, positive attitude
  • Fluent English (C1/C2 written and spoken)
